27-09-2010: I've moved away from Debian and in the last 5 years there were no activity and this effort became useless anyway. So I free the space up now. 14-09-2005: [ALL] After some months of outage, the images are there again. Currently there are only i386 and amd64 ISOs from etch and sid. 14-06-2005: [ETCH] Started to build etch images. 13-06-2005: [SARGE] Sarge came out last week, so there is no need to generate the images. 10-09-2004: [ALL] Due to some errors in the mirroring process there were no new images since 25 august. It seems that the problem can't be avoided so easily, so I tried to workaround it. I hope it will work, so the image creation will be seamless again. 25-08-2004: [POTATO] I have removed the potato extra discs. 24-08-2004: [ALL] I updated the debian-cd scripts from CVS HEAD tomorrow. Feedbacks are welcome. 24-08-2004: [SARGE,SID] The image creator script has been changed to build the i386 CDs and DVDs at least once a week. i386 images will come out every tuesday, which means they will be available on tuesday late afternoon. The other architectures (currently alpha, sparc, powerpc and ia64 due to lack of resources) are built in rotation, which means the oldest architecture will be built every day, except for tuesday, on which i386 will be built. 05-08-2003: [HURD] The Hurd stuff has been moved out from debian-unofficial. From now it resides at /pub/CDROM-Images/hurd/ 08-05-2002: [ALL] From now, the update will happen automatically each day, so there will be no regular reports, like "Updated" below. The update will be daily for the jigdo stuff (Sarge, SID CDs, DVDs) and will happen on every Sunday for the ISO images. The update starts at noon, local time (GMT+1). 08-05-2002: [SARGE] Uploaded the Sarge CDs. BEWARE! These CDs are not installable currently! 07-24-2002: [SID] Updated. Installation still not working. 07-19-2002: [WOODY] Debian Woody (version 3.0) is released, so the unofficial Woody bits are no longer necessary. Sarge will appear in place soon... 07-18-2002: [SID] Updated. The previous and this set still has a bug in its installer (however distinct ones) which makes SID uninstallable from the CDs. The fix is on its way, just needs some testing first... 07-16-2002: [SID] Updated. This set includes freshly build boot-floppies, which should fix the installation bug, due to the "aptitude" package. Not tested, so be aware. 07-15-2002: [SID] Updated. 07-15-2002: [WOODY] Updated. 07-08-2002: [SID] Updated. 07-08-2002: [WOODY] Updated. 06-26-2002: [SID] Updated. 06-25-2002: [WOODY] Updated. 06-13-2002: [SID] Updated. Now it's 9 CDs... 06-10-2002: [WOODY] Updated. 06-04-2002: [SID] Updated. 06-03-2002: [WOODY] Updated. Still waiting for the official release... 05-14-2002: [WOODY] Updated. Corrected an error in the last stage (after reboot) of the installation process. 05-08-2002: [SID] Updated. 05-06-2002: [WOODY] Updated. 04-29-2002: [WOODY] Updated. Nothing really new, we are heading towards the release, so the ISOs will move very soon to the official Debian dir... 04-22-2002: [SID-DVD] This is the SID version of the daily large ISO (DVD) snapshot. 04-22-2002: [WOODY-DVD] Due to request, we have a "DVD version" of the Debian Unofficial stuff. Because of space shortage we can only provide the necessary jigdo files for the discs and can only offer IA-32 version. These images are simple ISO9660 ones without the 650 MB size limit, but this method is reported to work. If you can try them out, please give us feedback! The images are daily generated. For more informations on jigdo, see http://www.debian.org/CD/ 04-17-2002: [SID] Updated. For more information about the changed multiboot method, see 04-15-2002! 04-15-2002: [WOODY] Updated. New boot floppies with frame buffer and language selector support. The order of the boot images is: CD1: ISOLINUX multiboot (you can select from the flavors) CD2: vanilla CD3: compact CD4: idepci CD5: bf2.4 (Linux 2.4.x kernel) 04-12-2002: [SID] Updated. 04-11-2002: [WOODY] Updated. It seems that some packages are missing, I think this is because of the coming release time. 04-03-2002: [SID] Updated. 03-29-2002: [WOODY] Updated. 03-14-2002: [SID] Updated and fixed the installation bug. 03-14-2002: [WOODY] Updated and fixed a bug during installation: pppoeconf wasn't on the first CD, so the base system could not be installed. 03-08-2002: [WOODY] Updated. 02-28-2002: [SID] Updated. Freshly built boot floppies (may have problems) after more than one month of build failures due to slang UTF8 related problems in Debian. Please test and send feedbacks. 02-28-2002: [WOODY] No big changes, just package updates. 02-25-2002: [HURD] Updated to H3. 02-23-2002: [POTATO] Updated. 02-18-2002: [WOODY] Updated. 02-14-2002: [WOODY] Updated. The new boot floppy layout is: CD1: the standard boot floppies CD2: compact CD3: bf2.4 (Linux 2.4.x kernel) CD4: idepci Also, the images are multiboot enabled, see 01-03-2002 for more information. 02-08-2002: [WOODY] Updated. 01-25-2002: [WOODY] Updated. 01-25-2002: [SID] Updated. 01-22-2002: [SID] Updated (yesterday I forgot to update the .list files). 01-21-2002: [SID] Updated. 01-19-2002: [WOODY] The last CD has been left off at the previous update, so I uploaded the daily snapshot. 01-19-2002: [SID] Updated. 01-18-2002: [WOODY] Updated. 01-03-2002: [WOODY] New year, new images. This set uses the multiboot feature, which is capable to present you a menu with all the boot floppies flavors (standard, compact, idepci, ...) with a recent BIOS. If you have an older one you can still find the alternative boot floppies on the other CDs (see 28-12-2001 for more information). Newer Phoenix BIOSes seems to be OK. 12-29-2001: [WOODY] Update. The last in the year 2001. For the available boot floppies please see the 28-12-2001 SID update. 12-28-2001: [SID] Update. Built with the actual boot-floppies from CVS (as of 28-12-2001 00:00 GMT+1). Please report installation failures. The images contain the following boot disks on them: CD1: "standard" boot floppies CD2: "compact" boot floppies CD3: "idepci" boot floppies CD4: "udma100-ext3" boot floppies CD5: "reiserfs" boot floppies 12-22-2001: [WOODY] Just the usual update. The set stands from 8 CDs... 12-21-2001: [SID] New boot floppy set, so please test it and report any problems during the installation. 12-10-2001: [WOODY] New release. Nothing new, just package updates. 11-20-2001: [SID] New release with a self made boot floppy set, which hopefully solves the installation problems. 11-10-2001: [SID] New release, the layout is the same as the latest WOODY. 11-09-2001: [WOODY] New release, the last CD contains non-free, as usual. The images contain the following boot disks on them: CD1: "standard" boot floppies CD2: "compact" boot floppies CD3: "idepci" boot floppies CD4: "ide" boot floppies CD5: "udma-ext3" boot floppies CD6: "reiserfs" boot floppies 09-12-2001: [SID] New release, the second CD contains a ReiserFS aware installer. 09-07-2001: [WOODY] Back to the traditional layout: the CDs include all the packages and the last CD holds only the non-free stuff. 09-05-2001: New WOODY CDs! This set includes all packages (non-US and non-free too), hence the bigger size. The second CD boots with a ReiserFS capable installer, so in theory it is possible to install Debian onto a ReiserFS partition directly. 07-31-2001: New SID CDs! Built with BF 3.0.8.2001-07-22. If you cannot install the base system from this, please install WOODY and upgrade from that with apt-cdrom. Due to the lack of a CD-RW capable CD-ROM I cannot try these images :( 07-29-2001: New WOODY CDs! Built with BF 3.0.8-2001-07-22. 07-21-2001: New SID CDs! This set uses the boot floppies from WOODY, so the install process may be broken. Please report back success/failure on installation from these CDs. 07-20-2001: New WOODY CDs! Nothing special, I hope. 07-06-2001: After a long break here are the new WOODY images! These ISOs use the new boot-floppies, which install the base system from .deb packages with debootstrap, not from the base tarball. I think this change will trigger some issues with the installation process and after installation parts, so please keep an eye on the installed machine and feel free to report success/failure to me (bra@fsn.hu). The version number of WOODY is now 3.0, not 2.3 as planned earlier. The collection is now 6 CDs, the last one -as usual- is the non-free CD. 05-25-2001: Updated SID set. The set contains the potato bootdisks, for more details see 28-04-2001. 05-24-2001: Updated WOODY set. 04-28-2001: Updated the WOODY set. It uses the good old POTATO boot floppies and installs its base system. After installing from the CD you should immediately do an apt-get dist-upgrade with the WOODY packages on the CDs. The updated SID version will come later. 04-23-2001: Damn, Debian has a broken disks-i386 boot floppy set in the WOODY distribution and I didn't check that (never trust anybody blindly :). Hence the current set can be installed only from floppies. Expect an update soon, later this week. 04-20-2001: Because of the new -secured infrastructure the apt-cdrom support is broken on the CDs. The new fixed images are online on ftp.fsn.hu, mirrors will catch up soon. 04-18-2001: Updated the SID and WOODY set of Debian unofficial CDs. The new set fixes the zero bytes Packages problem and use boot disks from the WOODY distribution. This set of course contains packages from the actual Debian mirror. 04-14-2001: The current set (both SID and WOODY) have 0 byte Packages* files. This makes the images unusable with tools depending on these, like apt-cdrom. This problem does not affect dpkg, so the packages can be installed and/or upgraded from the CDs. Due to the easter holiday I can't fix this problem immediately, so expect a new set of CDs next week. ---------------- There were no changelogs before the above date.
